This portrait photograph is of a soldier of Company I, Signal Corps. After service in the Philippines and Cuba, this company was at Fort D.A. Russell, Wyo. from 1910 onwards. It was normal for Signal Corps detachments to be spread far and wide from their nominal garrions, though.
