Woman in Uniform, c. 1898.

This woman is wearing a uniform typical of the Spanish-American War years. The only insignia I can make out are the infantry's crossed rifles on the hat. The photograph was purchased out of New York state.

Woman in Khaki Uniform, c. 1899.

Again, this woman is wearing a uniform typical of the Spanish-American War years, with sergeant's stripes in white. Her rifle appears to be a Model 1871 Springfield. The web cartridge belt holds a full set of bullets.
