This photograph comes from the holdings of J. O. McDonnell, a commercial photographer who travelled accross the United States and Alaska in the early 20th century. He later specialized in aviation and in 1917-18 was a corporal in the army, serving as post photographer at Wilbur Wright Airfield (now Wright-Patterson).
