Two portraits of a member of Company D, 2nd Infantry Regiment, California National Guard. This regiment had companies scattered north of Sacramento and in the Sierra Nevada gold mining country. The wax seal on the photos reads “Moore. Nevada City and Grass Valley.” In 1914 Company D was in the town of Redding.
