Turkish Soldiers in the Field, Balkan Wars
1912-13.
The first photo shows troops in what are probably dark-blue uniforms with red
fezes. At least two trumpeters are present, and among the soldiers is
one man of color. A cluster of sword-bearing officers confer on
the left.

The second photo shows men in drab field uniforms and a variety of headgear. Is that a revolver tucked into the ammunition waistbelt of the soldier on the left?
He wears aiguilettes and a gorget indicating military police or gendarmerie. The group on the right appears to be one or more medics tending to a wounded man.
