United States Navy and Marine Corps in Rio de Janeiro, 1917.

A U.S. warship has visited Brazil and its officers have a group photograph taken with their hosts. Among the ship’s complement are Marine Corps officers, and there are two Brazilian naval officers also in the picture. The boy in the sailor suit is a civilian. On the back of the picture is written, “Officers & Brazilian Seniorettas at Rio. July 1917.”
